Courtesy of Pat Wilson. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ MARICOPA - Jane Rios, 69, of Maricopa died March 29, 2003 in Scottsdale. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Simes Mortuaries Casa Grande Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Casa Grande. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery. Mrs. Rios was born May 17, 1933 in Janesville, Minn., to Catarino and Bernardina (Zuniga) Armendariz. She was a homemaker and the mother of one son, but she mothered many children. She loved to cook and insisted that visitors to her home eat. She was unselfish, strong in her faith, devoted to her husband and showed concern for others. She always listened to her husband's stories, even though she had heard them many times. She loved all types of angels. She lived in Arizona for 27 years. Survivors include her husband, John; a son, David Rios of Maricopa; three brothers, Cruz and Paul Armendariz of Janesville and Raymond Armendariz of Mankato, Minn.; and one grandchild. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Florence and Kay Armendariz, and a bother, Nedi Martinez. Published: Tuesday, April 1, 2003 Casa Grande Dispatch.
