The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ May 31, 1940 Funeral Held For Mrs. Rose Banta Funeral services were conducted at the Wickenburg Chapel at 6 p.m. Sunday for Mrs. Rose Ann Banta, 70, who passed away Friday in Glendale sanatorium following a lingering illness. Mrs. Banta had been an Arizona resident for 40 years, coming here with her husband in 1900. She was a Gold Star mother, her oldest son, Edgar, is buried at Arlington cemetery, and another son, Claude died at St. David, Ariz. In 1921. her husband passed away here in 1926. Mrs. Banta is survived by a daughter Mrs. Percy Davis and a son, David Banta, both of Wickenburg. The Rev. Ross Cleeland officiated at the services and interment was made in the Wickenburg Cemetery.
