The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ Jan. 9, 1959 Alice McLaughlin Dies in Prescott Mrs. Alice H. McLaughlin formerly of Wickenburg, was found dead Saturday in her apartment in Prescott where she had been employed as a legal secretary. Mrs. McLaughlin, who was Alice Grant when she resided here, was employed for a time by the Wickenburg News Bureau which later merges with the Round-Up Club. She was active in the Wickenburg Saddle Club and was credited with naming hamburgers, which she helped serve from the club’s chuck wagon, “Wickenburgers.” She was a sister to Dr. Aeola Mitchell of Prescott, also formerly of Wickenburg. According to Dan J. Seaman, ex-officer coroner of Prescott, Mrs. McLaughlin, 40, died of an overdose of sleeping pills. He said she had left a note addressed to her sister, Dr. Mitchell.
