Rites in Safford for L. E. Bowman
Funeral services were scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday of this week in Safford for Lewis Ed Bowman who died in Colorado Springs, Colo., last Friday. Mr. Bowman was a brother of Everett Bowman of Wickenburg and had recently purchased a home at the Diamond G. Ranch north of town with the intention of eventually retiring here. He was 76 years old.
Born in Brownwood, Texas, and reared near Weed, N.M., Mr. Bowman managed ranches near Coolidge Dam. At the time of his death he operated a ranch at Peyton, Colo., and a dairy farm near Ellicott, Colo. He was also widely known for his participation in rodeos.
Surviving are the widow, Louise; one son, Leon of Pueblo, Colo.; one sister Mrs. Maudine Campbell of San Carlos; and three brothers, Everett of Wickenburg, Houston (Skeet) of Safford and David of Scottsdale.
