The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ Sept. 4, 1959 Mesa rites for John S. Skinner Funeral services were conducted in Mesa last Saturday for John. S. Skinner, former Wickenburg resident. The 72-year-old man, who had been in ill health for many years, died in a Phoenix hospital Thursday of last week. Mr. Skinner, a retired miner, lived in Wickenburg for about 10 years prior to moving about three years ago. George Dillard recalls that Mr. Skinner once lived and worked in a Mormon colony in Mexico when Pancho Villa ran them out and burned their village. Surviving are two brothers, Earl of Rialto, Calif., and Israel of Bagdad; and two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Lynch of Inglewood, Calif., and Mrs. Amy Gibson of Farmington, N. M.
