Brother of Local Woman Summoned

Funeral services were held in Phoenix August 1 for Alvin E. Rankin, 72, of that city, a brother of Mrs. William Thompson of Wickenburg. Mr. Rankin died in a Phoenix hospital July 29.

Born in Texas, Mr. Rankin moved to Phoenix in 1939 and organized the Rankin Development Co. which owns the Alta Vista Shopping Center and which developed Truman Terrace, College Homes, Clarendon Square, Westwood Terrace and Thunderbird Estates.
