Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona January 14, 1965 The Order of Eastern Star, of which she was a past worthy Matron of Hassayampa Chapter No. 35 here, conducted its impressive graveside rites Saturday afternoon for Mrs. Eula Dodson Wentworth at the Wickenburg Cemetery, following funeral services at the First Presbyterian Church conducted by the Rev. John L. Williams, pastor. Mrs. Wentworth, the wife of George C. Wentworth and a resident of Wickenburg since 1917, passed away January 6 in community Hospital following a brief illness. She was born 67 years ago in Blossom, Tex., and came to Arizona in 1907. In the 1915 she moved to Congress Junction where she and Mr. Wentworth were married. They came to Wickenburg two years later. Mrs. Wentworth was always active in charitable and fraternal affairs here and throughout the state, holding high office in the Auxiliaries of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. She was a supporter of the Arizona Children’s Home project for many years. Surviving are the husband, postmaster here for many years prior to his retirement; three sons, Robert C., former mayor of Wickenburg; Murray of Phoenix and Tom of Nogales, Ariz. Also a sister Mrs. May Wilson of Prescott and a brother Clay Dodson of Hawthorne, Nev. Four grandchildren survive.
