Beverly Ann Anthony, a devoted child of God, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2003 after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. Born Beverly Ann Doll. March 22, 1946 in Fairmont, West Virginia.
She is survived by her spouse John Anthony, her three children; Kim Anthony-Fisher, Suzanne Anthony-Cincera and John Anthony, Jr.; her mother, Norma Doll, 3 brothers, 1 sister, and 7 grandchildren. Her father, Thomas Jasper Doll and her sister Diana Sue Doll preceded her in death.
Beverly was the Vice President of Operations for NationsChoice Mortgage and owner of Crafts by BAA. Throughout her life, she had been an active member in various organizations such as Tempe Jaycees, Tempe Parks and Recreation and South McClintock Baptist Church. She organized annual holiday toy drives, taught Sunday school, directed the children's choir and sang in the adult choir. Her hobbies included sewing, crafting, reading and traveling. Her joy for life was evident in all who were blessed to know her.
Family, her grandchildren in particular, were the things that brought her joy on a daily basis. There was nothing more important to her than her family. She was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and friend. She touched everyone's lives in a great way and will be missed tremendously.
Services will be held Saturday, May 31, 2003 at 9:00 a.m. at Tempe Christian Church (formerly South McClintock Baptist Church) 5815 S. McClintock Dr. in Tempe. The family suggests donations in Beverly's name to Tempe Christian Church, Hospice of the Valley (2222 S. Dobson Rd. Suite 401 Mesa, AZ 85202-6491) or the American Cancer Society.
