The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Wednesday, April 2, 2003 JoElla R. Tanner, 83, died March 30, 2003. Born March 28, 1920 in Gilbert, AZ she was a member of Gilbert First Families. She is survived by her husband John and two sons, John and Ken Tanner, their wives Susan and Daniele, her niece Frankie Katharine Bennett, five grandchildren and one great grandson. She spent 25 years as a devoted teacher in the Madison School District, where she touched the lives of thousands of children. A Memorial Service will be held at Mountain View Memorial Gardens, 7900 E. Main, Mesa, on Thursday, April 3 at 10 a.m. Courtesy of Pat Wilson.
