HANEY, Wilma Rose

Wilma Rose Haney, 64, passed away on May 31, 2003. The Lord in His infinite mercy and compassion took her home to His Heaven where she will enjoy His presence and peace. She was born on July 26, 1938 in Mystic, Iowa and grew up in Ottumwa, Iowa. She moved to Phoenix with her family in 1969. Wilma was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother who cared for her family with a wonderful loving spirit. She will be missed by many whose lives she touched with her love. She is survived by her devoted husband, Don Haney, loving son Brian, his wife Jennifer and her only grandson Benjamin. Her sister Doris Hockensmith, brother Roy Hoskins and their families also survive her. Her mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hoskins and her brothers Wilbur, Albert and Montell preceded her in death. The viewing and memorial services will be held on Friday, June 6, 2003, at Best Funeral Chapel, 501 East Dunlap Avenue. Viewing will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by the memorial service at 11:00 AM. Wilma will be laid to rest at the National Memorial Cemetery that afternoon. Published in The Arizona Republic on 6/4/2003.
