Erwin K. (Bud)
Erwin K. Terrell "Bud", 65, died Tuesday December 24, 2002 at home in Phoenix. Born August 10, 1937 in Prescott, AZ he was the son of Audrey Rosenberger.
He attended grammar school in Prescott. He graduated from Prescott High School in 1955. He then received his Bachelors Degree from Arizona State University and proceeded on to Northern Arizona University where he received his Masters in education. Bud made his home in Phoenix and worked for Kino Junior High School in Mesa as a Media Center Director, and teacher for over 32 years. He touched many peoples lives with his teaching. Through the years, numerous students of his stayed in touch with him. Upon retiring he dedicated himself to his award winning - world class orchid collection. This was his greatest love. He was past President of the Desert Valley Orchid Society and remained extremely active in this organization. He was also very proud of his award winning cactus and succulant collection. He traveled all over the world, hosted people from all over the country and made many lifetime friends through these organizations.
Bud loved life! His friends loved his sense of humor, generosity, and just getting together. He was always surrounded by friends. He was an avid hiker, horse racing fan, and never missed a Diamondback Baseball Game. But the greatest of all he loved his family and was proud of the closeness they shared.
He is survived by his mother Audrey Rosenberger, sister Claudette Denny, sister Ronda Mann and brother-in-law Kurt. Bud had no children but his nieces and nephews were extremely special to him. Gary and Garrett Denny, Craig and Suzy Denny, Travis and Trapper, Amy, Cody and Melody Savala, Keith Garrison, and Jessica and Jacob Mann.
Services will be held Thursday, January 2, 2003 at Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, 303 South Cortez in Prescott. A gathering of friends will begin at 11:30 a.m. with memorial services following. Flowers are appreciated.
