Daniel J. (Dan)
Daniel J. "Dan" Sullivan Jr., 74, of Phoenix, passed away Saturday, December 28, 2002. He was born December 22, 1928, in Melrose, MA to Daniel and Hazel Sullivan.
His family moved to Phoenix in 1943. He graduated from St. Mary's High School, where after he enlisted in the Navy and served as a submariner.
He married Olive Lemire in Manchester, NH on July 23, 1949.
He worked as an electrician for the city of Phoenix for many years. He worked for Prudential until he retired in 1990. As a member of St. Agnes Church in Phoenix, he worked as a Vincentian for the St. Vincent de Paul Society for almost 50 years. Dan was very devoted to his family and to helping others.
In addition to his loving wife, Olive, he is survived by his daughters Kathleen, Colleen, Paula, Sheila, Bridget, Shannon; his sons Daniel and Timothy; also 29 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; and two brothers Gerald and David Sullivan.
Funeral Mass will be at St. Agnes Church, 1954 N. 24th St., Phoenix on Thursday, January 2, 2003. A Rosary at the church will precede the Mass. Cemetery service will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations will go to the St. Agnes - St. Vincent de Paul Society.
