FRANKLIN, Robert Taylor, Jr.


The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Wednesday, April 30, 2003 Robert Taylor Franklin Jr. passed away Sunday, April 27, 2003 at home after a long battle with cancer. Bob was born on March 20, 1925 in Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix. His loving wife Evylin of 53 years and his children Robert (Robin) and Becky survive him as well as his daughter-in-law Theresa, and son-in-laws Steve and Gene. Bob had five grandchildren, Rachael, Glen, Ethan, Zachary and Maxwell. Bob served in WWII in the South Pacific and was honorably discharged in 1946. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially bowhunting and fishing. He worked at Salt River Project and retired in 1987. Bob spent much of his time since retirement at his cabin in Heber. He was a member of the Orpheus Male Chorus of Phoenix and later Choralaires for nearly 40 years. Services will be held at Hansen Chapel at 8314 N. 7th Street in Phoenix at 1:00 Thursday, May 1st.
