BOUWSMA, Kenneth Irving


The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Thursday, March 12, 2003 Kenneth Irving Bouwsma, 77,of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2003 in Phoenix. He was born, December 26, 1925, to Irving and Dorothy Bouwsma, in Muskegon, Michigan. He served in the United States Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a life member of the American Legion Post 397 in Holton, Michigan. He moved to Arizona from Ventura, California in 1962 and owned Bouwsma Machinery for many years before retiring in 1987. He is survived by his wife, Grada of Phoenix; daughters, Rosemarie Yeiter (and her husband, Kenneth) of Houston, Tx.; Tracy Turner of Delon Texas; Debbie Bouwsma of Calif.; Susan Bouwsma of Calif.; son, Craig Bouwsma of Calif.; sisters, Barbara Toube of White Cloud, Mich.; Helen Miller of Houlton, Mich.; Ann Charlesworth of Muskegon, Mich.; brother, William Bouwsma of Holton, Mich. and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, one sister and one step-son. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, March 13, 2003 at Resthaven Park Mortuary Chapel, 4310 E. Southern Ave., Phoenix, Az.; with visitation two hours prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Vincent de Paul, 420 W. Watkins St., Phoenix, Az., 85003.
