Clayra Burris Brown, was born November 11, 1926, in Wheeling, West Virginia, to William Henry Clay Burris and Mary Gross-Burris.
Clayra passed away at her home in Phoenix, Arizona, in the arms of her beloved husband Donald E. Brown, on March 27, 2003.
She is survived by her husband Donald, her daughter Constance Brown and two nephews that she loved as her own sons; William H.C. Kennedy and Bryant L. Kennedy.
Clayra will best be remembered for her compassion and generosity, as well as her wisdom and grace.
Visitation is Friday, April 4, 2003, 6PM-8PM at Preston Funeral Home, 3800 S. Central in Phoenix.
Celebration of Life service at 11AM on Saturday, April 5, 2003 at South Phoenix Baptist Church.
Interment will follow at East Resthaven Park Cemetery.
