DAHLMAN, Walter Roy (Walt)

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Thursday, March 12, 2003 Walter Roy Dahlman died on March 9, 2003. He was born August 1, 1925 in Sioux City, Iowa to Victor and Dena Dahlman. Walt graduated from Sioux City Central High School in 1943. He served in World War II in Saipan and Iwo Jima and was discharged in 1946. He lived in Minnesota and moved to Arizona in 1967. Walt had been a Realtor for the past 20 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Lory; daughter Dawn; son Scott, granddaughter, Hope Amburgey, and three beloved great-grandchildren Christian, Jessa and Chloe; sister Betty Hovland; and several nieces, nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers Clifford and Robert. W alt loved to laugh and was very generous in giving of himself to others. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A Memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2003 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 1844 E. Dana Ave., Mesa, Az.
