Roy Edwards (Cozmic Coyote), 49, of Apache Junction, died Saturday, March 8, 2003.
He is survived by his wife Penny, daughter Sheila and son-in-law, Chris, son, Cody, stepdaughter, Tami, stepson Jon, mother, Jewell, brothers, Steve Jr. and Paul, sisters-in-law, Susan and Debbi and several extended family members and in-laws.
He was preceded in death by his son Alex and father Steve.
Roy was born in Ft. McPherson, Georgia, on May 18, 1953. He moved to Arizona with his family when he was a little boy. He was an auto painter until his son Alex's illness forced him to retire.
Roy had many hobbies, among them mountain biking, riding Harley-Davidsons, classic cars and playing drums in a rock band.
He was a wonderful husband and father and had a very giving heart; he supported many charities through his life. The charity dearest to him was the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which granted a wish to his son Alex.
In lieu of flowers, his family asks that contributions be sent to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central & Southern Arizona, 711 East Northern Ave., Phoenix, Az., 85020.
There will be a gathering of friends and family at Alex's Lazy E Ranch in Apache Junction on Thurs., March 13, 2003, beginning at 3:00 p.m
