The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Friday, April 4, 2003 William H. Highfield, 79, of Sun City, AZ, passed away on April 1, 2003 in Sun City, AZ. Born in Bethlehem, PA, he moved to AZ in 1963 from Syracuse, NY. He was a Chemical Engineer. He was a veteran of WWII, U.S. Army, "The Big One!" and the Korean Conflict. He was a graduate of Lehigh University. Survivors include his three sons, William C., Lafayette, CO, Richard A., Albany, NY and Thomas A. Highfield, Gilbert, AZ; 1 Sister, Joan Sheldrake Bethlehem, PA: 5 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild. He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy "Stormy" in 1999. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 5th at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 6300 West Camelback, Glendale, AZ. Memorial contributions to the church. Courtesy of Pat Wilson.
