The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Friday, April 4, 2003 George J. Rankin, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away on March 27, 2003, at the age of 69. George, the eldest of two children, was born in New York, NY on December 21, 1933. In 1970 he moved to the valley from North Bergen, NJ with his wife and children. George owned and operated several successful businesses over the years, most notably Classic Video, until obtaining his LPN license and returning to healthcare as a registry nurse. He is survived by his wife Rebecca, daughter Judy, son Jim, their mother Barbara, and his two grandsons AJ and Gregory. A memorial service will be held at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 8620 North 7th St., Phx, AZ, in the dominican chapel at 7PM on Monday, April 7th. Courtesy of Pat Wilson.
