Evergreen Mortuary, Tucson, Arizona William A. Sabo 87, of Tucson, died October 20, 2009. He was a loving and caring husband to Constance, and an adored uncle to many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his cousins and many friends. Bill served with the US Army in the Pacific Theater during WW II. He was a graduate of the University of Detroit where he received a bachelor degree in business. He retired from the Detroit Police Department as a sergeant in 1974. Bill was a member of the Knights of Columbus for 60 years, most recently Msgr. Don H. Hughes Assembly, Fourth Degree, serving as assistant commander of the Honor Guard, St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, Tucson. Bill was an avid golfer and enjoyed teaching golf during the early years of his retirement. A Memorial Mass will be offered, 10 AM Saturday, October 24, 2009 at St Thomas the Apostle Church, 5150 N. Valley View Drive, Tucson. Memorial contributions may be made to Casa de la Luz Hospice Inpatient Unit, c/o Casa de la Luz Foundation, 400 W. Magee Rd, Tucson, AZ 85704.
