Evergreen Mortuary, Tucson, Arizona (October 18th 2009) Herbert Feder, 82, of Tucson, passed away October 15, 2009. Born and raised in Chicago by parents Paul and Elsie Feder. Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Shirley. Devoted father of Steven Feder of Tucson and Jodi Emerson of Fountain Hills; cherished grandfather of Justin and Andrea Hamilton. Herb married the love of his life, Shirley, on March 25, 1951, moving to Tucson in 1957 to raise his family. During their 54 years together, they made many wonderful friends, and despite many challenges, lived a full and satisfying life. Herb dealt with recent physical ailments with humor and determination, admired and respected by his caregivers, friends, and family. We wish to express our gratitude to cherished friend and companion Fran Silver for always being there for Dad. The family would also like to thank Dad’s attending team of physicians and nurses, especially Dr. Arthur Schachter and Dr. Michael Huether, for their compassion and dedication. Services will be held Monday, October 19, 2009, 2:00 PM at EVERGREEN MORTUARY, with Rabbi Robert Eisen and Cantor Ivor Lichterman officiating. Interment to follow in the Congregation Anshei Israel Section of Evergreen Cemetery.
