SCHLAEFER, Patricia (Pat)

Evergreen Mortuary, Tucson, Arizona Patricia “Pat” Hill Schlaefer, (July 17, 1928 – December 31, 2009) Pat passed away in the heart of the Full Blue Moon on New Year’s Eve Day. Pat was a giving, kind hearted woman and loving mother and grandmother. She loved the beauty of nature, was an avid dog lover, and loved to cook. She especially enjoyed family gatherings with her children and grandchildren. She grew up in Freeport, IL where she met and married her husband of nearly 60 years, Ike Schlaefer. They began raising their family in Le Sueur, MN, where they lived for 25 years before moving to Tucson, AZ in 1978. Pat was passionately involved and contributed her time to a number of organizations throughout her life, including the Hospital Auxiliary, The Haven, Antiques Group, Tucson Museum of Art, and Skyline Women’s Club. She is survived by daughter Katrina; sons, Kurt, Karl (Allie), and Kent; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ike Schlaefer, brother “Tip” Hill, her father and mother, Howard K. Hill and Margaret C. Hill.
