RIVERA, Omar

Omar Rivera January 1, 2010 Omar Rivera, 21, of Safford passed away Jan. 1, 2010. Omar was born August 3, 1988 to Albert and Becky Rivera in Safford, Arizona. He attended Safford Schools and graduated in May of 2006. While in High school he loved to skateboard, and playing guitar. Omar had a talent for drawing and took some drafting classes at EAC. Omar was employed by Gila Valley Monuments and had previously been employed by Casa Manana, and Freeport McMoran. Omar enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, listening to music, making others laugh, and most of all being with his daughter, family, and friends. Omar is survived by his daughter Kjierstyn Rai whom he loved dearly; his parents Albert and Becky Rivera; his sister, Beverly (Tony); and his nephews Anthony Albert, and Andrew Marc all of which he loved very much. He was recently preceded in death by his grandmother, Carlota Lopez in March of 2009. Viewing will be held Thursday, January 7, 2010 at St. Rose of Lima at 6:00 p.m. and Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will held on Friday, January 8, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima. Interment will follow directly after Mass at Safford Cemetery. Omar will be greatly missed by his family and friends, may God bless all the people who loved and cared for him.
