JOHNSON, Daniel Edwin


Daniel Edwin Johnson, 69, died June 2, 2003 in Mesa, following a lengthy illness. Dan was born March 25, 1934, near Toronto, South Dakota. Dan spent two years serving his country in the United States Army. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Corporal. Dan and his family moved to Arizona in 1965, and have resided in Tempe since 1966. Dan was an active member of the Crosspoint Church of God. He had a beautiful voice and he loved to sing. Dan earned an Associate Arts Degree in Construction from Mesa Community College. He spent the last nine years working as a building technician for Arizona State University. Left to mourn are Dan's wife Helen; four children, Tim, Brad, Debbie and Rich, their spouses, Heidi, Lisa, Bernie and Stacy; five grandchildren, Hunter, Hilary, Nick, Jillian and Allison. Also three sisters Julia Knoll, Rena Johnson, and Ruby Mann, one brother John Johnson; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be 6 to 8 PM Thursday June 5, 2003 and the Funeral will be at 9 AM Friday June 6, 2003 at the Crosspoint Church of God 615 S. Beck Ave., Tempe, AZ, 85281.
