WEYBRIGHT, Belva


The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona ~ 12/17/2009 Belva Weybright, 97, born January 6, 1912 in Bucyrus, Ohio, went to Heaven on December 9, 2009 in Chandler, Arizona. Belva had a very rich, full life. She married John Weybright in June of 1935. In 1948 they left Elkhart, Indiana with their children for Phoenix. She had a rewarding career with the Boy Scouts of America, Theodore Roosevelt Council until she retired. In retirement she was active in the Republican Women and volunteered for Meals on Wheels. Belva loved basketball and was a Phoenix Suns fan, from their very first game in the Mad House on McDowell. She was preceded in death by her husband, John, and four grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Margaret Shultz, Phyllis (Bob) Puett, John (Le Anne) Weybright, Bob Weybright, and Sara (Bill) Kempke; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Graveside service will be held Friday, December, 18 at 12:00 noon at Valley View Cemetery in Clarkdale, AZ. Contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St. Phoenix, AZ. 85014.
