Maurine Dains, 90, of Scottsdale, Arizona, passed away November 19, 2001. Maurine was born in Macomb, IL on May 14, 1911 to George Cole and Mary Guy.
She graduated from Western Illinois University and pursued a career in education throughout the majority of her life. She and her husband, Robert F. Dains moved to Scottsdale in 1960 where she continued with her education degree and taught 8th grade English at Kachina Grade School for 15 years.
A loving and caring mother, Maurine is survived by her daughter, Mary Lou of Mesa and her son, Dan of Scottsdale.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 23, 2001, at Paradise Memorial Gardens Mausoleum and Cemetery, 9300 E. Shea Blvd, Scottsdale.
Visitation will be held for friends and relatives with Methodist services immediately following. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to the loving assisted care facility which provided so much comfort to our mother during her final days, Janaro Care Home, 5937 E. Cactus Rd., Scottsdale, AZ 85254. Messinger Indian School Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements.
