NEAT, William Fred

William Fred Neat, 84, a longtime Chandler resident, died March 29, 2001. Fred was born Feb 9, 1917 in Winchester, IL and came to Chandler in 1942. He retired after 32 years with the AZ Department of Economic Security, was a charter member of the Chandler Elks Lodge, and a member of the Chandler Historical Society. Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Elizabeth; daughters, Connie Slater and Laura Douglas; niece, Pam Breeding; 11 grandchildren and 1 Great-grandchild. Services will be Monday, April 2, 2001, at the Chandler United Methodist Church, 251 W. Chandler Blvd., Chandler. Visitation will begin at 1 PM Monday at the church. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, April 4th, in Winchester, Illinois. Memorials may be made to Chandler Historical Society, P0 Box 926, Chandler, AZ 85244, or to the church. Bueler Mortuary.
