SHORES, Dolores Marie

Kingman Daily Miner, Kingman, Arizona Thursday, December 31, 2009 Dolores Marie Shores, born April 26, 1926, was called back to heaven on Jesus' birthday, Dec. 25, 2009. A resident of Kingman for 37 years, she passed away at 7:24 p.m. at Mountain Vista Hospital in Mesa while visiting family. She was a very passionate school bus driver for Kingman Elementary School district. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman C. Shores (May 17, 2001) and son, Donald W. Shores (Sept. 29, 1979). She is survived by her children, James H. Shores, Rosemary Campbell, Linda J. Benefield and Charles K. Shores. She has 16 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Dolores loved her bingo, family gatherings and volunteering at the senior center; she will be greatly missed. Viewing will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 4, at Sutton Memorial Funeral Home, 1701 Sycamore Ave., followed at 10:30 a.m. by services at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 302 E. Spring St. Following the service, there will be a gathering at 2546 Crozier Ave.
