Kingman Daily Miner, Kingman, Arizona Tuesday, December 15, 2009 Mary Louise Thomas of Kingman passed away on Friday, Dec. 11, 2009. She was born on Oct. 18, 1914, in Marshall, Texas, to her late parents, Joe and Estella Harrold. She is also preceded in death by her brothers, Joe W. Harrold and Matthew P. Harrold, and her husband, Lewis C. Thomas. She is survived by her children, Charlene M. Heffke and Joe A. Thomas of Kingman and Lori L. (Lee) Robinson of Germantown, Tenn. Her survivors also include nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Mary Louise was very actively involved in her community and a friend to all. She was a founding member of College Park Baptist Church in the 1970s. In 1982, when the book "Trails, Rails and Tales" was published to commemorate Kingman's centennial, she was referenced three times. She was also recognized as one of the "Women Making History" in Kingman in 2002. Cremation will be handled by Sutton Memorial Funeral Home and a memorial service will be held at College Park Southern Baptist Church at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 21.
