MCDOWELL, Estel (Mac) Glenn

Kingman Daily Miner, Kingman, Arizona Friday, November 13, 2009 Estel "Mac" Glenn McDowell, was born Nov. 15, 1923, in Missouri and passed away six days before his 86th birthday. Coming from a musical family, they played in local events. After graduation from high school, Mac enlisted in the U.S. Army. He took his musical instrument with him and entertained the men in his unit. He was stationed in the Philippines. After his honorable discharge with the rank of Staff Sergeant, he moved to California where he worked until retirement. Moving to Arizona, he continued his involvement in music wherever he could. Mac was a life member of VFW Post 10386. While active he was a member of the Eagles and Moose Lodges. He was predeceased by his parents and brothers, Virgil, Lloyd and George. Two step-daughters and nieces survive him.
