Rose Anna (Trull) Serna, 82, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, passed away in Kingman on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009, to be with her Lord and Savior. She was born in Wichita, Kan., to Willis and Neva Trull.
While the young widow of Carl Tatarski, Rose met Jose Serna. They married in 1977. Jose and Rose moved to Arizona a few years later, and eventually made their home in the Kingman area where she worked as a cashier at a gift shop until she retired.
Rose was a shy person but could not do enough for others, always giving from her heart. She enjoyed life and expressed it with her laughter.
She loved to knit in her spare time, if she was not watching a baseball game or figure skating on TV.
She also enjoyed showing off the area's rock formations and the burros of Oatman to her visiting friends and family.
Rose was a strong Christian who loved the Lord and read her Bible faithfully. She was a member of Golden Valley Baptist Church for several years prior to residing at Desert Highlands where she spent her final years.
She had so much love for her family and friends and will be dearly missed by all.
Rose is survived by her husband, Jose Serna; her children, Rose (Bobby) Nokes of Tennessee, Jon (Vickie) Tatarski, Dorothy Jones, Rosie Serna, Danny Serna, Raul (Geri) Serna, Patricia (Joe) Garza and Maria (Rudy) Olmos, all of California; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Juanita (Herb) McKee; brothers, Maurice (Lois) Trull and Jack Trull; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m., and services will be held at 10 on Friday, Oct. 30, at First Southern Baptist Church, 3120 Hualapai Mountain Road, Kingman.
Rose held us in her arms for a little while. We will hold her in our hearts forever.
