GRANO, Jens V.

Jens V. Grano, age 92, of Sun City, AZ, died December 13, 2000. Jens was born Aug. 7, 1908 in Wilmington, Delaware. Soon after the death of his father, he returned to Denmark with his mother, brother and sister. He remained in Denmark, completing his education at the University of Copenhagen and obtained a Masters in Elect. Engineering. Jens returned to America and remained for the rest of his life. He held several positions as Engineer with The Penn Dixie Cement Co. and Spenny Gyroscope Co. in New York and Phoenix. Jens met Winnifred Bruerton in Ogden, Utah and they married June 17, 1945. Jens was a great traveler. He is the only one we know of that went around the world on a motorcycle. He spoke five languages. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. He is survived by his wife, daughter, Joanne Blase, three grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Acknowledgements may be sent to his daughter Joanne, Avondale, Ariz.
