KRUEGER, Alan Herbert

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, January 12, 2010 Alan H. Krueger, born March 16, 1936, to Herbert and Erla Krueger in Cleveland, Ohio, died Christmas Day surrounded by the deep love of his family. He and his wife, Donna, were visiting in Dana Point, Calif., for the holidays. Alan was a proud Marine and a member of the Marine Corps League. He worked and volunteered for the Red Cross for many years. He was an Eagle Scout and thought highly of the program. Al also enjoyed working for the Cleveland Athletic Club. The friendships he cultivated through his life remained very important to him and he loved to reconnect with a surprise phone call. His love of jazz music and its history was a big part of his life. He prided himself with his knowledge of jazz and had many stories to share. After playing several years in his own band as a young man, his family then became his biggest fans and shared special times as he played his saxophone. After moving to Prescott he worked in flooring for B & L Carpet and Home Depot. He is survived by his loving wife, Donna; his daughter Abbie (Greg) Russell and their daughters, Caley and Brady; his son Dr. Mark Sinnard; his son Dr.Craig Sinnard (Paula) and their children, Morgan and Garrett; his daughter Renee O'Leary and her sons Myles and Mitchell (Ashley) and their daughter Piper; daughter Marcia Money and her children Jene (Kerry), Kyle and Ali; his sister Gail (Dick) Pryce and their children, John, Mark, Joann, and seven grandchildren. Al was a gentle, loving, kind family man and will be greatly missed. He fought to be with us through many medical challenges. He was a pioneer in the study of a life-saving heart device, the LVAD, and blessed his family with the gift of an unexpected 26 months of life in the end. His brother-in-law Rev. Richard Pryce will lead a memorial service Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010. Information provided by survivors.
