Harry "Rex" Ingram, 91, of Mesa, Arizona, passed on March 30th at Mi Casa Nursing Center of Mesa.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Ethan "Ann" Ingram.
He is survived by his son, Doug, & daughter-in-law, Ann of Lima, Peru; two granddaughters, Christie Ramsey of Santa Monica, CA and Meghan Ingram of Seattle, WA; and a great granddaughter, Sydney Ramsey.
Rex was born in Casper, Wyoming April 1, 1911. As a youth, he moved to Denver, Colorado. He graduated from Wheatridge High School in 1929. While in high school, he was employed by Elitch Gardens Amusement Park. It was there that he learned his love of dancing at the Trocadero Ballroom where the best bands of the era played. He attended the University of Denver before moving to Los Angeles. He served in the Army during WWII.
In 1955, Rex and his family moved from LA to Phoenix. Rex had a successful career, first at Garret Air Research and later with his own sales company, selling parts to the aerospace industry. He retired in 1976 to pursue his passions of golf and his love of cars.
Rex will be missed by his family and friends for his quick wit, his kindness, his love of famiy and the special place he had in his heart for animals of all kinds.
He was a very special dad and grandfather. "We miss you, Rex. "
