Ralph William Witt, 66, passed away on April 3, 2003. Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Ralph attended Lane Technical High School before serving in the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Marine Corps from 1956 through 1962. A former police officer in Phoenix, Arizona, and Rosemont, Illinois, Ralph also worked in the telecommunications industry for many years and retired from his position as a field service engineer with Vodavi Communications in March of 2002.
Ralph is survived by his wife of 35 years, Penny, son Michael (Kelly) Witt, daughter Kara Witt, grandchildren Morgan, Lea, Kaymon, and Logan Witt, brother Don (Frances) Witt, mother-in-law Leola Dobbertin, sister-in-law Kim (Richard) Kleinke, many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
A storyteller to the end, Ralph will be missed by his loving family and many friends.
A celebration of Ralph's life will be held at Crosswinds Presbyterian Church, 1330 E. Union Hills Drive, on Saturday, April 12, at 3 PM with a visitation being held one hour prior (2 PM). Ralph was an active member of the Fraternal Order of Police.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the FOP Lodge #2, 12851 N. 19th Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85029.
