Ruth Tuckey Pentecost died June 1, 2003 in Peoria, Arizona. Born September 6, 1913 in Glendale, Arizona daughter of John Herbert and Katie Mae (Rambo) Tuckey.

She was a 1930 graduate of Glendale Union High School and a 1934 graduate of Arizona State Teachers College in Flagstaff. Ruth taught elementary school in Peoria and was a champion golfer of Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Milford Pentecost, and brother J. Vernon Tuckey.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 6, 2003 at Sunland Mortuary 15826 Del Webb Blvd. Sun City, Arizona. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. Friday until service time. Memorials to the American Cancer Society, 12211 W. Bell Rd., #102 Surprise, Arizona 85374 or the Alzheimers Foundation, 10515 santa Fe Dr. Sun City, Arizona 85351.
