Fredricka Marie (Freddie)
Fredricka Marie "Freddie" Sutton, of Scottsdale, was born in San Angelo, Texas, on October 18, 1930 and moved to Arizona in 1954. She passed away at home with her children at her side on December 20th, 2000.
She is survived by her daughter, Sherre Lewis, sons, Michael and Byron Sutton and three grandchildren, Solon, William and Kelly and a multitude of friends.
Freddie was a community activist, a member of the Phoenix Art Museum, the Historical Society and a Patron of many arts. She was on the Board of Directors of the Phoenix Symphony and Jazz in AZ, where she served as Vice-President for several years. She was a successful independent entrepreneur, conducting several business enterprises over a span of many years. Freddie's daily motto was, "I always do something for someone else, I take care of some business, I do something for myself, and I do something social." Freddie always helped a friend in need.
A Celebration of Life will be held at her home on Monday, January 8th from 2PM until 7PM. Freddie has asked that donations be sent to Hospice of the Valley at 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014-5656
