Loren Curtis Sanford, 77, of Coolidge died Dec. 24, 2000 in Coolidge.
The memorial service was at 2 p.m. today at Hohokam Mobile Village recreational hall, with Byron Haines officiating.
Mr. Sanford was born Sept. 27, 1923 in Deerfield, Mich.
An Army veteran of World War II, he was a stone-crusher operator at White Pine Copper Mine before retirement and also spent years as a carpenter, building and restoring houses. He eventually built his own home. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth "Betty"; a sister, Alvina Wohlamouth of Waterville, Ohio; and two brothers, Raoul "Sam" Sanford of Michigan and Alvin Wolford of Temperance, Mich. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Leona and Bonnie.
Simes Mortuaries Coolidge Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
