MATTOCKS, H. Mont Sr.

H. Mont Mattocks Sr., 74, of Casa Grande died Dec. 24, 2000 at Casa Grande Regional Medical Center. Mr. Mattocks was born Jan. 22, 1926 in Jefferson Township, Pennsylvania, to Harlowe F. and Lucy Hinkson Mattocks. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a supervisor for ITT Reznor Co. before retirement. Active in veterans affairs, he was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled American Veterans and served as commander of the Mercer, Pa., post, Mercer county council and the 28th District of VFW. Survivors include his wife, Guyla; a daughter, Mary "Mimi" Lindeman of Meadville, Pa.; two sons, H. Mont Jr. of Grove City, Pa., and Martin F. of Bellefonte, Pa.; a stepdaughter, Dr. Gail Demler of Houston; a stepson, Loddie Naymola of Beaumont, Texas; a sister, Arlene Love of Midlothian, Va.; a brother, Francis of Mercer; eight grandchildren; and five stepgrandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday at Cole & Maud Mortuary. The funeral there will follow at 7 p.m.. The graveside service will be Friday in National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N.
