Gordon L. Pinch, a resident of Chandler and former resident - of Scottsdale and Munds Park, died Monday, April 28, 2003 at Hospice of the Valley in Mesa after a long illness. He was 76. He was a loving, Christian husband and father who is now at rest in the arms of a loving Saviour.
Born in Boston, MA, Gordon moved to Scottsdale 41 years ago and began a 25-year career with Motorola in Phoenix, where he was an engineer, as well as a department manager. He retired in 1985. He also served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1950-52.
Survivors include his wife, Natalie; his children, Dave Pinch (Deb) of Fairport, NY, Sue Geroux (Geoff) of Chandler, and Steve Pinch (Gina) of Chandler; five grandchildren, Cori Edwards (Zakk), Breanne Evans (Chris), Jason Geroux (Jessie), Christian Pinch, and Alissa Pinch; and two great-grandchildren, Tyler Geroux and Connor Geroux.
A memorial service for Gordon is planned for Saturday, May 3, at 2 p.m. at the Bethany Community Church, 6240 S. Price Road (Loop 101 and Guadalupe) in Tempe. Following the services, Gordon's friends and family are invited to a reception in the Fellowship Hall (Room C-1) of the church.
Because of allergies, the family asks that no fresh flowers be sent to the memorial service.
Rather, they request donations in Gordon's memory to the church of your choice, or to Hospice of the Valley, 6063 E. Arbor Ave., Building B, Mesa, AZ 85206, or to Chandler Regional Hospital Foundation, 1875 W. Frye Road, Chandler, AZ 85224-6184.
