ARMSTRONG, Neva

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona 01/15/2010 Neva Armstrong went home to be with the Lord Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010, in Globe. She was born May 8, 1930, in Canyon Day. Neva is survived by her sons Duwayne Armstrong, Simpson Armstrong and Kayle Armstrong; daughters Rureko Armstrong, Donna Armstrong, Loma Cody and Karol Larzelere; 16 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren sisters Violet Antonio and Helena Velasquez; daughter-in-law Kathleen Armstrong; sons-in-law Bill Cody and Daniel Larzelere and many relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Wayne Armstrong and daughter Cherylann Armstrong. A two-night wake started at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, at her residence (1009 N. Gloshay St. (Whiskey Flats) in Whiteriver). Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010, at the White Mountain Apache Baptist Church with Pastor Al Campson officiating. Interment will be at the Canyon Day Cemetery. Silver Creek Chapel Mortuary of Whiteriver handled arrangements.
