GRANATOWSKI, Aloysius Michael


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona 01/15/2010 Aloysius Michael Granatowski died Jan 12, 2010, in Tucson. He was born Sept. 18, 1927, in Milwaukee, Wis. Al was a devoted father and loving husband. He honorably served his country during WWII in the U.S. Navy. He moved to Tucson and raised his family while continuing his successful career as a sheet metal worker with Union Local #359. In 1989, Al retired to Show Low where he continued to enjoy his love of hunting and fishing. He was active with Boy Scouts of America, the DAV, VFW and American Legions. He will be fondly remembered for his willingness to help any child. You truly knew that you were his friend when he called you a banana because you were one of his bunch. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Barbara; four children; 10 grandchildren and four great-grand-children. Services are Friday, Jan 15, at Adair Funeral Home, Dodge Chapel with a viewing at 11:30 a.m. and funeral services following at 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested in his name to the DAV or VFW.
