The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona 01/08/2010 Harold Francis Walker Loving husband, father, grandpa and great grandpa Harold Francis Walker died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009. Harry was born Jan. 2, 1932, in Williams, Iowa, to Robert and Theresa Holdgrafer Walker. He married Gwendoline Grace Davis of London, England, June 7, 1958, and they enjoyed 51 wonderful years together. He loved spending time with his family and had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed fishing and traveling. He was also a hard worker and respected businessman. He was an active member of the Catholic Church. He served in the Navy during the Korean War. "We will all miss him greatly." He leaves behind his wife, Gwendoline; five children Mark (Jolene) Walker from Lake Havasu, Michael (Wendy) Walker from San Antonio, Texas, David (Debbie) Walker from Vernal, Utah, Teri (Kimball) Ball from Kaysville, Utah, Toni (Connon) Evans from Vernal, Utah, 17 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, brother Charles (Arlene) Walker from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and sister JoAnn (Richard) Gidel from Georgetown, Texas. A funeral mass was held Wednesday, Jan. 6, at the Saint James Catholic Church in Vernal with a viewing and Rosary prior to the Mass. Military honors were presented by the American Legion Post 124 and 11 and the Utah National Guard. Interment will be in the Vernal Memorial Park under the direction of the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
