LESTER, Richard Dwayne

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona 01/08/2010 Richard Dwayne Lester of Pinetop died Thursday, Dec. 31, 2009, at Hospice of the Valley. Richard was born April 15, 1952, in Flagstaff. He moved with his family to Fort Apache in the early 60s. Richard graduated from Alchesay High school in 1970. His first job was at Don's Bakery in Whiteriver. He worked for the White Mountain Apache Tribe for over 25 years. He started Hon-Dah Ski and Outdoor Sport over a decade ago. Stik, as he was known to his many friends, loved the ski business as it gave him the opportunity to help people to play. Richard is survived by his wife Terri of 26 years and a loving family and many, many friends. He will be laid to rest next to his mother and father in Payson in a private service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation in his name to the charity of your choice.
