John Steven (Steve) Grey, 48, died Tuesday, June 25, 2002 in Decatur, AL.
A native of Newport News, VA, he resided in Glendale, AZ for 18 years. Steve was self employed.
At the time of his death, he was a contractor in project management at the Brown's Ferry Nuclear Power Plant in Decatur. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Newport News.
His father, Charles E. Grey, Jr., step-father, H. M. West, paternal grandparents, Charles E. and Mildred Grey, Sr., and maternal grandparents, Dallas and Maggie Casebolt all preceded him in death. Leaving to cherish his memory are his daughter, Amity Grey Wilde and her husband, Eric Wilde of Manteo, NC; his mother, Margaret I. West and sister, Patricia Burton, both of Newport News; a brother, Charles E. Grey, III of Barnegat, NJ; his beloved companion, Pamela Dunlap and her daughter, Kayla of Glendale; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorial services will be held Friday, June 28, 2002, in Peninsula Funeral Home by the Rev. Leonard Riley. The family will receive friends following the service until 8:30 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Kidney Fund, 6110 Executive Blvd., Suite 1010, Rockville, MD 20852.
