Ethel Mae Spitler, Mesa, passed away on April 5, [2003]. She was born near Hagerstown, IN, in 1919. After living many years in Orlando, FL and Clayton, GA she moved to Mesa in 1986.
For the past 17 years she has been married to Elvin (Tony) Spitler. Throughout her life she played the piano or organ for churches in which she held membership, most recently at Covenant Community Church, the predecessor of Mission View Community Church. She will be remembered by family and friends for her strong Christian beliefs, her hospitality, and her personal warmth.
Ethel Mae is survived by a brother, Ivan Crull, of Crystal Lake, FL; by her children, Nancy Werking Poling (James), Evanston, IL and Phillip Werking (Julie), Apopka, FL; 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She will also be missed by the Spitler family for whom she has been "Bonus Mom" and grandmother: Carol House (Bill) of Mesa, Sue Hinshaw (Pat) of Mesa, Sharon Lewis (Tom) of Bigfork, MT, Ron Spitler of Mesa and Alexis Spitler of Mesa; 11 grandchildren 16 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.

Funeral Services will be held at Mountain View Memorial Gardens, 7900 E. Main, St., Mesa on Tuesday, April 8 at 10 am.
