VANDERROEST, Cornelius

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Tuesday, April 8, 2003 Cornelius VanderRoest, formerly of Kalamazoo, Michigan, passed away April 5, 2003 in Mesa, AZ. He was born May 27, 1920 to Edward C. VanderRoest and Sophie (Thiel) VanderRoest. He retired from selling insurance for Continental Casualty in 1970. Surviving are his loving wife of 59 years, Julia (Judy) Elizabeth; daughter Nancy Smith, one grandson Stephen, 2 step grandchilren, Toni and Chuck. He also is survived by one brother Robert of Bell Fountain, Ohio. Cremation has taken place followed by a private service. Mountain View Memorial Gardens Mortuary handled arrangements.
