FISHER, Mervine L.

Mervine L. Fisher, 88 died May 27, 2003 at Hospice of the Valley, Mesa, AZ. She was born January 4, 1915 at Atchison, KS, the daughter of John Thomas and Margaret Elizabeth Kohn Flynn. A resident of Larned, KS since 1955, moving to Phoenix in 2000. She was a retired Registered Nurse at the Larned State Hospital and was a homemaker. Mervine belonged to Sacred Heart Catholic Church and charter member of the Church Altar Society, both of Larned. On August 9, 1939, she married Chester Lee Fisher at Atchison. He died August 13, 1998. Survivors include: three sons, Dr. Robert Lee, Normal, Illinois, John Emery, Aspen, Colorado, and Thomas Wayne, Larned; daughter, Patricia Ann DiSomma, Phoenix, Arizona; a sister, Alice M. Smith, Topeka; 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother; three sisters and one grandson, Ken Armstrong.
