LEONHART, Hazel R.

(Maiden Name: Hassett)

Hazel R. Leonhart of Phoenix AZ, died peacefully on June 21st, 2002. She was born in Butler, Indiana, April 3rd, 1911, one of eleven children of Joseph and Rebecca Hassett. 

Her husband of 61 years, Russell, died in 1992. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-great mother, aunt, sister and friend. She is survived by a daughter, Marlene Hall and son, Joe Leonhart, his wife, Linda, all of Scottsdale, Az. Hazel's six grandchildren are Kevin Funk, Shannon Trunell, Erin Leonhart, Nicole Leonhart, Michele Pace and Geoff Bodeman. There are six great-grandchildren; Brandon Funk, Joshua Funk, Lyndsay Funk, Ryan Trunell, Braden Trunell and Natalie Kaufman. Nieces, nephews and friends in Arizona, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio were always so very important to Hazel, including Sharon Trembley, a very special niece offering so much love and assistance for her Aunt Hazel and the family. 

Memorial service was held at Green Acres Chapel, Scottsdale, Az., June 23rd, 2002, In remembrance of Hazel Leonhart, any contributions may be made to Hospice of Arizona 2222 W. Northern Ave, Suite A-100, Phoenix, AZ 85021.
