Jean L. Davis, 85, of Phoenix passed away on April 4 2003. Born in Victoria Knox County, Illinois on March 28, 1918 to Wilmort W. and Grace M. Rhodenbaugh. She moved to Phoenix in 1942 from Wataga Illinois. It was here she met her husband, Bill who she married in 1944.
She is survived by her husband Bill, two sisters, Maxine and Joan; a daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Bob: a son Daryl, two grandsons, Robert and David; and three great grandchildren, Majerle, Morgan and Carter.
After her husband retired they spent their summers in Lakeside, Az enjoying the cooler weather of the White Mountains. Here she met many new friends and began writing stories for her own pleasure about her earlier life experiences in Illinois and Arizona. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends with whom she left with many great memories.
Visitation for family and friends will be held at the Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary Chapel 719 N. 27th Ave in Phoenix, on April 10 at 1:00 PM. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley in her name.
